Accelerating the Shift To Sustainable Energy

In 2017, BMW of North America launched the ChargeForward program in an effort to:

Support the integration of renewable energy with the electric grid
Help reduce greenhouse emissions in transportation
Reduce the overall cost of owning electric vehicles

In 2020, the BMW team asked us to design the public-facing report to share the program’s findings, evaluations, and overall results with the rest of the world.

The ChargeForward program was piloted in California in partnership with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and UC Berkeley’s Transportation Sustainability Research Center. The findings of the report are available here.
